Operation HEAL: Bringing Health Education, Essentials, and Empowerment to Women in Ghana

What is Operation HEAL?
Operation HEAL is an annual event held every December in Ghana, focusing on women's health and wellness. This initiative addresses the challenges of accessing medical care in Ghana by providing essential healthcare services to the community for free.

In December 2022, Operation HEAL benefited approximately 140 women in the Madina community with free health education, screenings, and hygiene supplies.

In 2023, the event expanded to Tamale, reaching over 350 women and girls with free education and feminine essentials, including menstrual pads and postpartum supplies.

The target population for Operation HEAL includes young school girls of puberty age, pregnant women, and mothers of children with cerebral palsy.

By focusing on these groups, we aim to address critical health needs through educational sessions, complete with question-and-answer segments, and provide much-needed support.

The resources raised during this campaign will expand the life changing impact of the organization on the women, girls, and communities it serves.

Imagine this...

We took a personal trip to the supermarket and local market in Kumasi for homecare everyday essentials and here’s what we noticed:

"NONE of the essentials that we need for long-term homecare or monthly menstrual cycles are included in government aid or social welfare assistance in Ghana.

There is currently no policy for full-time caregivers that has been passed by parliament in Ghana.

Ghana's government aid excludes homecare and menstrual essentials; our mission is to provide these basics for women's dignity.
